Art in Public Places
Anderson Mill Public Art project is well underway! Dianne Sonnenberg has been working at lightening speed and has been updating everyone on the progress of “Community Seed Pods” for the Anderson Mill community. The artwork will be located at the corner of Anderson Mill and Olson Dr. If all goes as planned, she expects it will be installed in the spring of 2023. Fabrication of the sculptural elements took place in late summer of 2022 by the truly awesome folks at Flatfork Studio! They were carved from styrofoam, then reinforced and coated with a thick layer of concrete. Each one weighs about 300 pounds! Transporting them and moving them is quite the challenge.
