Our story
Sheer passion...
I am Gary Marburger, Owner and designer at GOODWOOD. Because of sheer passion, I've been building decks and fences (part time) for about 10 years. I never intended to create a company out of this hobby, but the truth is I really enjoy building smart-looking, functional art. Much of what I have learned is from the inherited gene of my hands-on, do-it-yourself dad as well as apprentice work under my stepfather (a 50 year veteran, master carpenter and pool architect).
After years of working on home projects for myself and those close to me, I partnered up with a close friend who is a gifted engineer and visionary craftsman to create a poolside arbor for a friend's party. From start to finish in three days and an overwhelming response from the party goers, it was a success. We knew we could compete on price while offering super - creative, engineer-class construction.
While making money is a part of any business, we truly cherish delivering the finished product. It is our passion to create design that represents our customer’s style with custom renovations that reflect their desires.
