The Biography
Entow Nation is an Austin Texas based rock blues band that has played throughout the U.S. and Europe. Possessing the soul and energy that can only come from Austin, Texas. Entow Nation is highly inspired, passionate, and has shared the stage with many of today’s top performers.

Jimi Bedsole - (Guitar, backing vocals) jimi started playing guitar at a young age in Dallas and he played with such great bands as Jabb, Blind Ambition, working with singer Candy Herrera from Los Angeles, singer- songwriter, George Tees, and bassist, Chuck Rainey. Much studio time was spent at Charlie Pride’s recording complex, Cecca Sound with engineer Craig Pride. jimi moved to Austin and began playing with well known Austin musician Lee Person. jimi also shared the stage with such national acts as Major Burks, ER Shorts, Bob Schneider, The Scabbs, and Ian Moore. In 1996 jimi joined guitarist Dizz Gillespie and Flyin’ Blind to form the band Parker James. While on tour in Europe in 2001 Dizz Gillespie suffered an near fatal automobile accident. Jimi and Dizz took a sabbatical for the next 2 years while Dizz had physical rehab and recovered from his car-crash injuries. In 2003, the smoking heart felt blues rock band, Entow Nation, was born.

Dizzy Gillespie - (Vocals, guitar, and mandolin) Dizz has worked with the Kentucky Headhunters, Doyle Bramhall Sr., Bugs Henderson, and Ed King of Lynyard Skynard to name a few. Dizz feels the exuberance of life in his music after surviving a near fatal car-crash in France in 2001 where he had just performed an acoustic show at Plume d’ Art in Lyon. Now Dizz enjoys playing at Austin Venues such as clubs on 6th street, and the prestigious Antone’s. Dizz exudes a love and passion for music which is apparent on stage. When Dizz and jimi, his long-time friend are on stage together, there is an electric connective energy that is alike almost to that of the Allman Brothers. Both Dizz and jimi perform execution and synchronicity when performing together. They are something to behold and hear live. Dizzy Gillespie is definitely a true veteran of blues and rock music and is an endorser of Everly Guitar Strings and custom guitar luthier Ron Ross.

Robert Hacker
- (Bass, Vocals) Rob is a twenty year veteran of the Austin Music Scene. Born into a family of musical talent, Rob’s Dad played the violin and his mom was an accomplished piano and keyboard player. They were both from Vienna, Austria. Rob started playing the guitar & bass at the age of nine and into his teen years was playing with local Rock bands. Rob was the kind of player that was never quiet satisfied with the “stock” instrument. He was always changing pieces & parts from one guitar to another and after High School this is what lead him to Northern California and the Luthrie Program. Rob learned more about design & building the instruments. Rob returned to Austin and was a founding member in such bands as Rockin Horse, The Neighbors, Frenz, The Motive, and Robert Johnson Band. Late in 2003 Dizzy Gillespie was in Rob’s shop talking to him about changing out a scratchy sounding volume knob on his Strat and the conversation came up about Dizz and jimi looking for a bass player to join the new project Entow Nation. Rob express an interest and after hearing some ruff drafts on cassette tape Rob jumped on board. Dizz said “we knew him as a really nice guy who worked on Chris Duarte, Nikki Six, Tommy Shannon, Jimmie Vaughn, Al Dimeola, Willie Nelson, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Ray Benson and the list goes on, but we had no idea he was such a brilliant and talented bass player.”

Chris Lyons - (Drums & percussion) Chris, a New York drummer, recently relocated to Austin, He is a versatile drummer who has been described as a chameleon due to his versatility. Chris has played and recorded with Bower from Shanana, blues guitarist, George Baker, and Gary U.S. Bonds. Chris has also toured Europe working with Luca Deuzi the great Czechoslovakin trumpist.
